Faber-Castell® launched their iconic Creativity Can at the 2017 National Principals Conference in Philadelphia to inspire hands-on creative experiences in the classroom.
Creativity Can® is a versatile, hands-on tool for learning the 4C’s of 21st Century Skills.
This innovative, ready-to-use educational tool is filled with simple and fun materials that encourage open-ended creativity. After reading about the “Creativity Crisis”, Faber-Castell felt it was their mission to act and spark a nationwide discussion about the importance of childhood creativity. Starting in 2013, under the Creativity for Kids® brand, Faber-Castell produced the Creativity Can and distributed over 95,000 cans in the USA and Canada.
Creativity Can School Packs include Curriculum Connection Lesson Plans focused on the 4C’s of 21st Century Skills. The Creativity Can School Pack is for students to create individually. The BIG Creativity Can School Pack is used in small groups or for professional development and staff training – focusing on collaboration, communication and of course, creativity.
Connecting great leaders across all levels, the 2017 National Principals Conference is the first-ever joint national conference of Pre-K – 12 school leaders, making it the ideal place for educators to see firsthand how the Creativity Can encourages imagination and education in the classroom.
“This has really been an important mission for us,” said Jamie Gallagher, President and CEO of Faber-Castell USA. “We consider it an enormous responsibility to foster creativity, imagination and a love of learning in children. The incredible response we’ve received from our Creativity Can by educators and students has been overwhelming. It is our greatest hope that we continue to inspire children in schools across the country to equip them with the skills they need to excel into adulthood.”
The new School Packs are available for pre-order at www.creativitycan.com.
