What do you give that special Mom or Grandma in your life? Chocolate, jewelry, and especially wine, are good ideas. But a homemade gift on top of that is always appreciated. These Mother’s Day painted wood pieces are sure to remind Mom just how much you care. <3
These aren’t your everyday “kid” masterpieces, they actually turn out pretty cool if the adult assisting can make decent tape lines and helps to pick out colors that don’t mix into the color of mud. We’re all counting on you, Dad! 😉
This project is great for any age to experiment with paint colors and textures. Just about any utensil will work! Kids will love to use a paint brush, cotton swabs, and especially their fingers!!! This is also a great time to talk about what makes Mom and Grandma special. What do you appreciate about them and how do they make you feel special? It’s your turn to spoil them!
Here is what you’ll need:
1. Use tape and scissors to create design.
2. Paint over entire wood & tape surface. Let dry.
3. Remove tape.
4. Present to Mom
